Most people stand there and stare. But a few leaders\u2014visionaries\u2014walk right through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s what Glenn Sanford did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before he was the founder and CEO of eXp Realty, one of the fastest-growing real estate brokerages in the world, Glenn recognized something most others didn\u2019t: The future of real estate wasn\u2019t in strip malls or fancy offices; it was online. In 2009, that sounded crazy. His eXp Realty now has more than 85,000 agents, is publicly traded and was named one of Glassdoor\u2019s Best Places to Work. Not bad for a so-called \u201ccrazy idea.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPeople follow people with big ideas,\u201d Sanford says. \u201cIf you think big, you\u2019ll attract people who like people who think big.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But his vision was never just about scale. It was about building something with purpose. \u201cNobody\u2019s attracted to a company just to make money for someone else,\u201d Sanford says. \u201cYour vision has to be big enough to include other people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That idea\u2014putting agents at the center of the business\u2014is what made eXp\u2019s success inevitable. And for Sanford, it all starts with three simple principles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022<\/strong><strong> Live in the future.<\/strong> Sanford doesn\u2019t wait for trends to arrive\u2014he gets ahead of them and prepares accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022<\/strong><strong> Act on opportunity.<\/strong> \u201cOpportunities aren\u2019t lost,\u201d he says. \u201cThey\u2019re just given to someone else who\u2019s willing to act.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2022<\/strong><strong> Win in your mind first.<\/strong> From his days as a track star to his rise in tech, Sanford swears by the power of mental preparation. \u201cI developed the habits of success,\u201d he said, \u201cuntil they ran on autopilot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is more than a business story\u2014it\u2019s a
